Popular actor Salman Shah died mysteriously in 1999. The actor’s ex-wife Samira Haque claimed the death on 6 September 1996 as suicide. However, Salman Shah’s family disagreed. They claim that Salman Shah was killed in a well-planned manner.
After 29 years, actor Salman Shah has turned into a murder case. On October 20, 2025 the court ordered to convert Salman Shah’s non-death case be converted into a murder case. Salman Shah’s uncle Alamgir Kumkum filed a murder case at the police station within 24 hours of the order given by the Dhaka Metropolitan Judiciary.
It is known that after 29 years Salman Shah’s death case turned into a murder case, a statement given by the accused Rezvi in 1997, 28 years ago, has been discussed anew.
Rezvi admitted the responsibility of killing Salman Shah in that statement. “We have killed Salman Shah. The murder has been treated as a suicide,” he said. Many people including Samira and her family are involved in this murder. I was also in the massacre.
In his deposition under Section 164 of 1997, Rezvi said that Salman Shah’s death was a murder contract of Rs 12 lakh. The deal was signed by Salman Shah’s mother-in-law Latifa Haque Lucy. Bengali movie villains Don, David, Faruk, and Javed were also in this murder deal.
According to Rezvi’s account, Don, David, Faruk, Javed, and Rezvi met at a bar in Gulistan on 5 September 1996 at 8 pm.
That day 2 more boys named Sattar and Saju came. Then came Faruk. Samira’s mother gave this money after taking out 2 lakhs. Salman will pay a total of Rs 12 lakhs to finish.
But when Don talked with Faruk about 2 lakhs, Faruk left and after a while brought another 4 lakhs. Rezvi said, Faruk said 6 lakhs before work and 6 lakhs after work. After that, a plastic rope, syringe, revolver, etc. are collected.
Giving a gruesome description of the murder, Rezvi said, Don, David, Faruk, and Aziz Bhai went to Salman Shah’s house at 2.30 am. Rezvi claimed that Salman Shah was sleeping when the killers jumped on it. The infernal carnage was attended by Samira, Samira’s mother Lucy, and cousin Ruby.
Samira anesthetizes the sleeping Salman with Chloroform. After some time, when Salman Shah regained consciousness, the scuffle started. At this time, Aziz Bhai asked Salman Shah to push the injection into his body. After killing Salman, his body was hanged from the ceiling fan.

A total of 11 people have been named as accused in the Salman Shah murder case. The main accused in the murder case is Samira Haque, the ex-wife of Nayak. The other 10 accused are producer Aziz Mohammad, villain Don, hero’s former mother-in-law Latifa Haque Lucy, David, Javed, Faruk, Ruby of Mefiar Beauty Center, Abdus Sattar, Saju, and Rezvi Ahmed Farhad.
