Tamim Iqbal’s Initiative ‘Captain’s Card’
Cricket Board has taken a special initiative to honor the past and present captains in Bangladesh Cricket. An exceptional event – ‘Captain’s Card Handing Out Ceremony’ – was organized on the personal initiative of Board President Tamim Iqbal.
A few days ago, Tamim Iqbal directly contacted the former captains. On the phone, he said that there would be a small function with the captains and requested to be present there. Responding to his heartfelt appeal, many former captains have already confirmed their participation.
The event will be held on Thursday evening at a hotel in Dhaka. According to BCB’s official notification, Tamim Iqbal will hand over a special edition ‘Privilege Card’ to the distinguished male and female captains who have led the Bangladesh National Cricket Team.
The card will allow former captains to enter the grounds of any international cricket match in the country—essentially acting as a permanent entry ticket for them. Earlier tickets were given by BCB but now this special card is being introduced as a symbol of respect and dignity.
BCB cricket management department sources said, this event is not just a Formality rather, it is a long-term initiative to honor the captains who have contributed to the history of cricket in Bangladesh.
