
Postal ballots have been sent to 376,309 expatriate voters in various countries worldwide over the last 10 days to vote in the 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum.
Salim Ahmad Khan, Team Leader of the Out of Country Voting System and Implementation (OCV-SDI) Project, confirmed to BSS that this postal ballot was sent to expatriate voters in various countries around the world over the last 10 days.
He said that the number of registrations of In-Country Postal Vote will increase and we hope that the number of registrations of government employees, persons engaged in electoral duties, and legal custody of voters in the country may reach 1,000,000. Besides, the registration of expatriate Bangladeshis may exceed 600,000.
According to Election Commission (EC) sources, Postal Ballot was sent to a total of 37,612 expatriates from different countries around the world on Sunday.
Last Saturday, 45,550 Postal Ballots were sent to Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, last Friday, Postal Ballot was sent to a total of 57,360 expatriates in different countries of the world, of which 22,000 Postal Ballots were sent to Saudi Arabia.
Last Thursday, 10,999 postal ballots were sent to the United Arab Emirates, 3,500 to the United Kingdom, 900 to Kuwait, and 17,500 to Saudi Arabia.
A total of 376,309 Postal Ballots have been sent in the last 10 days, EC officials said.
Among them, the highest in Saudi Arabia is 122Postal Ballots sent to 393 expatriates.
