Chorki is one of the most discussed names in the OTT platform world in Bangladesh. The market value of this platform associated with the country’s largest media company Prothom Alo and Corporate Giant Transcom Group is already expected to be more than 100 million TK.
However, despite such large sponsorship and investment, Chorki has not yet reached the Breakvin Point even though five years have passed. That is, their monthly income is not enough to meet the cost of operating the organization. As a result, the company is being forced to subsidize every month.
Optimistic CEO
Chorki’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) said that by December 2021, they are hopeful they will be able to earn equal income for monthly management costs. If this is possible, the company can reach the long-awaited break-even point.
He also said,
“We hope that Chorki will earn more than 100 million TKs within the 5th anniversary of the establishment and will turn into a profitable institution.”
