Spoiler Alert!
Initial Expectations vs Reality
As much as I was hopeful to watch the movie, I was disappointed.
The Universe & Setting
In this Universe Clark Kent Alredi has been Superman in the Metropolis for 3 years, and Metahumans have been extinct for about 300 years on Earth. From the beginning of the movie, Metropolis is facing a regular superhuman Threat, and the Justice Gang is also dealing with Superman.
Although their presence is visible, it often seems that the story has been inserted into the story. Even if I exclude them from the story, much would not be missed. No one could pose any real threat to Superman throughout the movie.
Lex luthor: an illogical obsession
The most ODD to me is the behavior of Lex Luthor.
She hates Superman, she is overwhelmed with her – but why?
Superman did not harm him until the Jorhanpur war. But before that, he had begun to hate Superman!
He made Superman’s clone, opened a portal like going to the Pocket Universe, made Metahun Jail, even keeping Metamorph Ready – Auropuri had made a master plan to finish Superman, without any concrete reason.

As a Genius villain, Lex Luthor has made this deep but unnecessary hatred character unreal. It seemed as if I started watching the movie from the middle and ended without a backstory or character emotional motivation.
Final verdict
It was not in this movie what it should have been when making a movie with such an iconic character.
The movie did not seem to acknowledge the fact that there was no real threat in the center of Superman, and the motivation of Lex Luthor – for these two reasons.
Disappointing, incomplete, and unattractive.
FootNote: You can argue that Lex is driven by Envy. I totally agree. But you need to portray it in your story. In BVS, you can live the motivation of Batman to go against Superman! You are putting one of the iconic superheroes against one of the iconic villains, you should do better. You should visit it, and your audience should feel the threat.
