Meta has signaled a significant shift in how social media is used. The company plans to launch separate premium subscriptions for these three platforms: WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook. This new subscription is not associated with the current Meta Verified service and may include certain special features restricted to general users.

Until now, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook are completely free to use, but Meta is looking for alternative revenue streams with increased investment in artificial intelligence (AI) technology and increased demand for advanced features. According to various tech reports, the company’s advanced AI-based tools may be added to the new premium plan.

According to sources, Meta’s advanced “Manus AI Agent” could be one of the key parts of this subscription. This will enable smart replies, content creation support, and automation. Instagram may add new AI-powered features, such as “Vibes,” to create short creative videos.

Some of the long-standing needs of Instagram users are also likely to be included in the premium plan. These include the ability to know who is following and not following back, and the option to view stories without others understanding. WhatsApp is expected to add enhanced chat features, additional customization, and AI-powered features. However, Meta has not yet made an official announcement about these issues.

According to Meta, taking the premium subscription is completely optional. Those who don’t want to spend money can use these three apps for free as before. This plan is mainly aimed at those who are interested in using additional benefits and advanced AI features.

With this new initiative comes privacy concerns. Especially after the introduction of ads on WhatsApp, many users question whether personal data will be used for AI training in the future. Meta claims that no change is being made to its user data protection policy.

How willing will users be to spend money for this premium subscriptionIt is not clear yet. However, Meta–Those concerned think that this initiative is going to start a new chapter in the business structure of social media.
