The US technology company ‘Astronomer ”s chief executive Andy Byron has resigned after the video of a close moment with a colleague at the Coldplay concert.
New York-based company ‘Astronomer’ said in a statement, “Andy Byron has submitted his resignation and the board of directors has accepted it.”
The incident started on July 16 at a stadium in the city of Foxborough, in the state of Massachusetts. There was a concert of the popular band Coldplay that day.
The camera was finding the duo in the audience during the gap in the song. Their pictures were floating on the stadium’s JumboTron screen.
The Americans call it ‘Kiss Cam’. That is, the picture of the pair that floats on the jumbo screen will have to kiss each other.
At the Coldplay concert that day, the camera’s eyes fell on a pair. Both were standing, and the man was hugging the woman from behind. Both of the concert songs are enjoyable.
But on the Jambo screen, the picture is swept away. The woman tried to hide herself. And the man lowered the camera’s frame. That video goes viral.
Seeing the scene, Coldplay’s singer Chris Martin jokingly told the audience, “Either they are aliens, or they are very shy.”
But the incident became the headline of the news when it was reported that the male in the video was Astronomer’s CEO and his partner, Kristin Cabot, the company’s chief People Officer.

In a statement on Saturday, Astronomer says, “We are committed to maintaining the values and cultures we have been working on since our inception.
“Our top people will ensure the highest standards through their behavior and accountability, which we expect, but it has not been maintained recently.”
The technology company said its board of directors will soon begin the process of appointing new CEOs. Until then, the Chief Product Officer will serve as interim CEO.
