
A warship of the India Air Force (IAF), Ratangarh, Churu, in the state of Rajasthan, India. The IAF confirmed that the two pilots on the plane were killed.
The India Air Force ‘X’ said in a post, ‘A trainer from IAF was hit by a plane crash during a regular training mission today. It was devastated in the Churu district of Rajasthan. The two pilots were seriously injured in the accident and later died.
Churu District Superintendent of Police Joy Yadav said the warship collapsed in the area adjacent to Bhavana Bhawan village in Churu district at 12:30 pm on Wednesday. According to initial data, there were two pilots on the plane. At first, nothing was confirmed about their protection. The Air Force later confirmed the death.
Earlier in April 2024, a two-seat Jaguar warship of the IAF was destroyed in the open field in Subhadra village of the Jamnagar district of Gujarat. A pilot was killed in the incident. The aircraft was still on the training mission.
Both of them were training at night with the warship. It collapsed in an open field next to the Kalabagh Highway, about 18 km from the city of Jamnagar. However, during the two accidents, the crews of both aircraft were able to get out safely. The aircraft was reported to have been destroyed due to technical problems. However, the cause of the emergency landing of the AN-32 aircraft was not immediately known.
