Saudi Arabia authorities did not allow 2 lakh 69 thousand Muslims to enter the holy Makkah city due to lack of necessary permits. These Muslims went to Saudi Arabia to perform the Holy Hajj.
The temperature of 51.5 degrees Celsius was recorded during Hajj last year. More than 1 thousand 300 pilgrims died after being ill in severe heat. The formality of the Holy Hajj begins on Wednesday. Like last year, there is no forecast for temperature rise this year. However, according to the forecast, the temperature may exceed 40 degrees Celsius during Hajj.
Already about 15 lakh pilgrims have reached the holy makkah. Saudi Arabia’s Health Ministry said on Monday that they had already treated 44 hitstroke patients.
Saudi Arabia Health Deputy Minister Abdullah Assir said they were preparing for the worst situation. He said, “During the Hajj, the temperature is seen. So, we are giving importance to thermal illness. ‘
Abdullah Asiri also said that 50,000 medical workers and administrative workers have been deployed on the occasion of Hajj. For serious patients, more than 700 beds of ventilator – 300 beds have been prepared at the hospital.
